Just back on Broadjam after a couple years. Went to check on my favorite and saw that he had died. Will, loved your songs, they will live on.
What??? What happened?
I really don't know. i just got the information from other comments on the page.
Geez. That's intense.
Johnny congratulations on the Kenny Rogers song. I really enjoyed the song. I'm glad to see a song with a lot of lyrics get chosen. Godspeed.
I've just fallen madly in love with "A Place Like This". Really, really good writing. Great humor, great pathos, phenomenally creative hook. If I can ever write a song half as good as this before I die, I'll go to my resting place knowing I've at least done one good thing in my life. Best, jay
Mr. Carney, Thank you for your comments regarding APLT. Everyone that hears it loves it but we can't get Nashville to take it. We took it to Nashville in the Spring but no takers. We've also been turned down by Jack Ingram and Kevin Sharp. I will forward your compliment to my cowriters. AL
Dear AL...please email me at hjay@thecarneycompany.com as I'd like to offer a suggestion. best, H. Jay Carney

Thank you for your kind words. I'm sorry for your loss. I love" Survivor" because it does not sugar coat the disease, in other words it is not a rah-rah song like some. It is a true story about getting along after the onset. Thanks again, AL
We are currently shopping songs around Nashville.
your song survivor is helping me with the loss of my mother. i was her only caregiver which was a blessing and also painful it has left me shattered. so thank you for my first tears that weren't painful
